Collaboration on Developing Science-Based Solutions to Ocean IssuesCoordinate collaborative efforts to develop science-based solutions to shared marine environmental issues.
The WOC will foster collaboration among industry leaders in sustainability to determine priorities and develop the science and solutions to shared environmental issues, e.g. impacts of sound on marine life, vessel/platform recycling, ballast water and invasive species, ship "strikes" on whales.
Result: Solutions developed to address priority shared marine environmental problems, as measured by the resources committed, the number of projects conducted, the solutions implemented, and the reduction or elimination of specific industry impacts to the marine environment.
