Expanded Industry Support for Improved Ocean Science

Develop collective industry support for improved ocean science, especially on climate change.

The WOC will coordinate cross-sectoral ocean industry efforts to call for, and participate in, expanded, improved and better coordinated ocean science, especially in relation to climate change.

Result: Improved understanding of the oceans and more predictable ocean operating environment through national and international science that is better able to support maintaining healthy marine ecosystems and responsible ocean use and management, as measured by increased science outputs and use of science for conservation, management, and safe, responsible industry operations.
