The World Forum Offshore Wind (WFO) has invited World Ocean Council (WOC) CEO, Paul Holthus, as opening plenary speaker at the 1st Global Offshore Wind Summit (Taipei, 5-6, March, 2019).
CEO Holthus will focus on the importance of collaboration between the growing offshore wind sector and other ocean industries. He will highlight the opportunities for compatibility among economic activities and infrastructure, which can create synergies in the use of ocean space. Holthus will also address the need for cross-sectoral business interaction to proactively tackle the real or perceived conflicts among sectors that may slow the growth of much needed renewable, low carbon energy from the sea, which must advance in concert with other responsible ocean users.
WFO is the global organization exclusively dedicated to offshore wind energy. Founded in 2018 by 10 international organizations representing the entire offshore wind value chain, WFO is registered as a non-profit organization in Germany, with offices in Hamburg and Singapore.
