Carine Cavallier – Associate, Blue Finance, Marine Recreation & Tourism in Europe

Carine facilitates the development of WOC membership strategic alliances and outreach in Europe especially in the area of finance and nautical sports.Her project portfolio includes collaboration with the financial sector to develop blue finance instruments and the promotion of sustainable maritime and coastal tourism including nautical sports and recreational and water based activities.She is a multilingual sustainable development professional with extensive experience in sustainable development and ESG gained in NGO in Latin America and in Spain where she worked for 15 years as a Director of Sustainability at a Spanish bank.Carine holds a LLM in International Economic Law at the University of Warwick United Kingdom a Postgraduate Degree in Environmental Law at the University of Belgrano Argentina. She also graduated with a Bachelor and Master in Law at the University of Paris II Panthéon Assas France and a Bachelor and Master in Management at the University of Paris IX Dauphine France She is passionate about sports and travels since her childhood she got naturally interested in the relationship between sport and the environment from one hand how can sport raise awareness and set standards of environmental sustainability as well as the impact that sports and sport events in particular can have on the environment.
