Chris is WOC’s Liaison Officer for West Coast US and Canada, and works to advance membership, strategic alliances, and project/plaftform development in the region. He has collaborated with WOC since 2015 on a number of initiatives and has contributed as both speaker and panel coordinator for past Sustainable Ocean Summits in Singapore, Rotterdam, and Halifax.
Chris has 30 years consulting experience in sustainable development specializing in helping to create innovative and strategic approaches for multi-disciplinary project teams working on complex opportunities and challenges. In addition to his most recent focus on ocean sustainability with WOC, his project portfolio includes collaboration with private sector, government, and NGO clients and partners in the Built Environment, Consumer Product Innovation, Land Use, Natural Resource Conservation, Renewable Energy, Economic Development, and Community Development.
Chris has a degree in International Business from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin. He also holds a Professional Certification in Biomimicry from Biomimicry 3.8 / Arizona State University and is member of the International Living Future Institute. He served as a board member for 12 years for A World Institute for Sustainable Humanity.
