Marine Pesret, Asia Manager

Marine is helping the World Ocean Council in its efforts in Asia with a view to advance new members development, enhance the sustainability of the World Ocean Council’s work and support the development and implementation of the World Ocean’s Council global issues platforms in the region.

Marine is a dual-qualified lawyer in the UK and France and has over 10 years of experience of working in the offshore, shipping, trade and energy industries in France, the UK, the US and most recently in Singapore. Marine’s practice focuses in particular on shipping disputes such as pollution, collisions and shipbuilding claims. She also has experience in trade and energy disputes. Marine is currently undergoing training to become a certified Mediator in Singapore.

Past roles include: Associate at Holman Fenwick Willan Singapore, UK and France, trainee at Hammonds Suddard Edge Paris.

Marine has a double Master in English and French law from Cambridge University and Pantheon Assas University, as well a LLM in litigation, arbitration and alternative dispute resolutions from Pantheon Assas. Marine was first called to the Bar in Paris prior to becoming a solicitor in England.
