Holcim, a multinational building materials manufacturer based in Switzerland, is now a member of the World Ocean Council. According to Chief Sustainability and Innovation Officer Magali Anderson, this represents Holcim’s “commitment to sustainable ocean stewardship.” CEO Paul Holthus said, “Holcim’s focus on driving sustainability with innovation will make a great contribution to the work of the WOC.” Among Holcim’s many initiatives is the global deployment of bioactive concrete for marine ecosystem restoration.
