Christine Valentin, Chief Operating Officer

Christine is Chief Operating Officer for the WOC. As such she is leading the WOC efforts to develop and drive strategically focused action to ensure sustainable business value to members, grow the WOC membership and visibility among ocean business community, and guide WOC budget development and financial management.

Julia Tasse, Communications and Marketing Officer

Julia works on Communication and Marketing at the World Ocean Council. She is involved in managing the social media and online visibility of the WOC, supervising global communication and supporting the website and other communication tools. She is WOC coordinator for the Young Ocean Professionals Network.


Chris Allen, Liaison for West Coast US and Canada

Chris is the WOC's US and Canada West Coast liaison working to advance membership, strategic alliances, and project/plaftform development in the region. He has collaborated with WOC since 2015 on a number of initiatives and has contributed as both speaker and panel coordinator for past Sustainable Ocean Summits in Singapore, Rotterdam, and Halifax. Chris has 30 years consulting experience in sustainable development specializing in helping to create innovative and strategic approaches for multi-disciplinary project teams working on complex opportunities and challenges.


Tina Liu, Liaison China

Tina, WOC Liaison Officer – China, facilitates the development of WOC in Chinese speaking regions. Her background is in shipping and in academia.
