Charlotte Durup De Baleine – Associate, Law and Economics of the Sea

Specialising in Law and Economics of the Sea – Ocean Governance, Charlotte is dedicated to facilitating cooperation among international actors to advance ocean protection and sustainable ocean development. Most recently, she worked as the Program and Stakeholder Manager for an international event focused on accelerating solutions for a sustainable ocean economy. She collaborated with over 70 ocean innovators, founders, investors, corporates, incubators, and ocean experts.

Her passion for sailing and surfing has consistently driven her advocacy for ocean protection. She holds a double degree in English and French law and a Master’s degree in International Business Law from the University of Sydney, where she conducted her final research paper on the legal and business aspects of the Ocean-Climate nexus.

With experience in program management, legal and policy research, ocean protection, and stakeholder management, she is motivated to contribute to the development of a legal ocean sustainability community with the WOC.
